Afternoon all, was wet and windy this morning, so no work got done, then had to wait for the boiler engineer this afternoon. Been having trouble with hot water. Apparently the electrodes for the water heater were burnt out. They were meant to be replaced each service, but our regular gas engineer hasnt done it.
We took out a boiler care plan from Baxi last year, which gives us unlimited call outs. Apparently the boiler needs a chemical flush too, as its 7 years old now. Another dieter here, caught sight of myself in the mirror the other day, getting into the bath, and I thought hell's bells, I'm not half getting a pot belly. I have to admit I have a terrible sweet tooth. I would eat 3 or 4 chocolate biscuits, such as Kitkats or Twix, per day, so now I'm embarking on a brisk walk twice a week, and reducing my chocolate intake to one on Saturday and Sunday.
I'm not a big drinker, so a bottle of beer Friday , Saturday and Sunday, will not change.

Food intake today was nowt this morning (if I do eat breakfast its one slice of dry toast or porrige), 4 TUC crackers at lunchtime, dinner, a little rice with some chilli con carne. Since I came home from the appointment haven't touched the likes of chocolate, biscuits, anything sweet or sugary, virtually cut out bread as well. Processed foods are out, what I do eat is self prepared.

Just had an interesting experience! Trying to get the extremely heavy garden waste wheelie bin down the steps next to my garage, it tipped over taking me with it! Landed on top of the bin at the bottom of the steps and smacked my head off the ground so hard it bounced! Ended up wedged between the bin and the wall, managed to struggle out but I suspect I'm going to be effin sore in the morning. Head thumping already, various other bits sore as well. Dropped a couple of paracetamol.

Just what you didn't need, keep on the pain killers, as you know you will feel worse in the morning

Be careful Steve, if you start feeling dizzy sick, or get double vision, get yourself to A&E, as you could have concussion, or worse.

Cool

As above Steve. Head injuries can lay dormant for a period of time. Get yourself checked out as soon as.

All the aches and pains have subsided apart from my knee (ok til I move it or put weight on it) and a lump on me head, headache has virtually gone now. Feel fine though but, as Rich suggested, if anything happens I'm off. Drastic way of seeing me other half when she's working though!
