open the opera browser, enter www.google.co.uk then search for chrome download.

Install, then open, putting a check in the box that says ''make chrome your default browser''

It's very unlikely that you will be able to install a different browser to your tv unfortunately...

Thanks for the tips, my tv is Android, will I be able to use Chrome?. This tv is too complicated for me, I am going to ask Richer Sounds in Liverpool to come and sort it out properly. Thanks, John.

I'm quite impressed with Opera, currently trialling it as I type on an old Dell laptop (CPt S500GT) with 512mb ram and Windows XP. Still getting used to it but it is surprisingly quick and its password manager which I've just got around to using makes for an easier life and logins.

Previously my preference was always for Firefox but I've felt for some time that it has been going the same way as Google in becoming increasingly slow and obstructive, a pain to use with a whiff of unsupervised geek about it lol. Plus Firefox support for XP will be ending very soon and both Slimjet and Seamonkey didn't want to know, they threw up an error when I tried to use them.

So Opera it is for now and as I get used to it I can see it becoming my default browser on my everyday laptop running Windows 10 - this old Dell is destined for car diagnostic work.
