Not very silent when you're trying to sleep off nights next to a runway in nothing much more than a portakabin

Beautiful aeroplane, and the Car is pretty good too!

I was in the Falkland Islands when ZA147 was the final VC10 to fly from the Islands.

I remember them late at night with that noise fading into the distance and even earlier when they were doing prototype engine runs at Wisely early on a Sunday morning...lovely airliner😍

fantastic.. love the VC10.. remember flying back from Red flag on one with the RN/RAF.. and so quick too.. pity there arent any still flying..

and your pic reminds me - need to go to Duxford sometime, never been to that museum yet...
