Saloon parcel shelf
Hi guys I'm just wondering how much space is under the parcel shelf?
I have quite a long mono amp in the boot at the moment and was thinking about removing the parcel shelf and fitting the amp under there then refitting the shelf. |

Very little space, most of it taken up with the sound proofing foam. If your amp is 1cm thick then fine otherwise forget it!
I put my amp in the boot, drivers side, behind the side vanity panel. Plenty of space there unless your amp is really massive. The box above the Bassface amp is the rear parking sensor electronics, but there is scope to move it (plenty of loose wiring) giving more room for an amp. Honestly, there's massive amounts of space behind the boot panel there. That area was, as far as I'm aware, designed for the HK amp and Cd changer. So actually, it's the proper place for an amp! The frame my amp is attached to can be removed easilly by just unscrewing the bolts. You can then fix the amp to the frame then replace the frame in the boot. As you can see, there's some nice earth points as well! Hope that helps? Ali. Ali.

Thank you for your reply. It's a bassface db1.3 so a little bit bigger than 1cm thick. I'll take it off and see if there's anything I can take out. My other idea was to mount it under the shelf to free up some space.

That should fit behind the side panel no problem. It's also a ventilated area so plenty of fresh air so the amp won't overheat.
Ali.
