Sorry been quite busy at home this past few weeks but I have been "visiting" the forum.

I finally did get things resolved with BT but what a process, it left me drained with the time I spent on the phone with them.
BT had to open a new email account then take over my PC (with my permission) to get things running properly.

It turned out I had never logged in since BT went paperless as I had not set up the account.

The largest cost on my BT bill is phone calls with quite a few to Malta so we need to cut down a bit with these.

Oddly enough using the mobile phone works out cheaper with the package the missus has with both our phones on the same account. Who would have thought it mobile cheaper than the old landline.

Onwards and upwards !

I can recommend the 'access number' system for overseas phone calls .
Try Storytelecom.com . Malta is a local charge number... 0845.XXXXX.. so is free if 0845 is included in your phone package . 'Other similar systems are available ' .

So are you saying it's not the fault of BT but it's your own fault for not logging into the account, wonder how many would be so honest in admitting that. As I stated in a previous reply there is nothing wrong with BT

Well I suppose you could say it was my own fault but this does not alter in any way the shoddy service from BT.

Fact was I waited for a call on three consecutive nights as promised by BT Also would you like to wait on a call being answered for so long you prepare your evening meal and eat it before the call is answered.

I think not.
