It's lighter and more responsive but the build quality and ride isn't as good! They are a handsome practical car and a bargain.

I find the diesel to be good to drive and good on fuel.

The 1.8t is quite thirsty in comparison.

I see one in black everyday on the way home from work and its actually a nice looking car, bigger than I thought. Ive kinda been put off modern diesels now due to the DMF problems and DPF issues that coat a fortune to fix. As I found out on my 2.2 mazda.. i could probably deal with the fuel use of a 1.8 as I own a zt v6 at the moment.

I've had a 1.8T SE for nearly 3 years now. It's a good enough car, not greatly inspiring but good looking and has proven reliable throughout ownership. It's ok on fuel, not really seen it as an issue. Built quality is alright. I find comments about the "hard plastics" you find in road tests on the MG6 a little odd as they have no more hard plastic than any other modern hatchback.

Ownership as been fine

Still have the 75 in the garage though!!

Well 3 months in and MG is going great guns, I would say probably 25 % are existing classic MG/Rover BL which is good news.

Only had one ZT in part ex so far though (and a 45 which I didn't keep)

maybe I should offer a minimum part ex price on anything MGR and see if that helps!

The '6' looks a little generic to my tastes. Nothing to make it stand out in the crowd. Guess l'm still an old car guy at heart, despite ownership of my 75 which just has that 'je ne sais quoi'.

Paid a visit to T L Darby an MG dealership in Burton on Trent yesterday. Met Tim Spencer Leach who is also a member on here.
Took my brother in law Mike to try the ZS with a view to buying one. After a bit of chat and a test drive when we both tried out the car, Mike ordered one in red.
He’s chuffed with the space, drive and value. It’s got to be one of the best mid size SUV’s on the market for the price. I’ve always liked them but now I’ve driven one. It’s not a speed machine but then if you want pace go buy an Audi S4! You’ll pay for that privilege though.
Mike lives about 4 doors away from me so I’m sure I will get first hand updates on the car.
Delivery in about 2 weeks.
