Default Fitting a Premium Bumper to a ZT MK1

Hi all,

Helping a friend fit a premium bumper to a MK1 ZT and the thing won't go on quite right. It's about half a cm out everywhere.

The crash bar is at its highest position.

The foam inserts are seated correctly.

But it won't level itself with those yellow clips on either wing, neither will it pull up any more to slot in the said clips.

I'm well and truly lost.

Any help would be appreciated. My back hurts now too..

I should mention the bumper hasn't been fitted to a car well over a year so I'm wondering if the bumper has changed shape slightly from sitting?

Cheers
Robson

I have put a lip splitter on mine, but it does make the bottom of the bumper tight and pulls it down a bit when trying to fit it to the undertray.

does anyone know if the foam pads behind the bumper were different on a premium bumper from a standard one, as I had to shave ours down a bit because the foam kept pushing the bumper out and preventing it from fitting properly. Was tempted to not bother fitting the foam inserts at all.
