I managed to get down to the boat myself last week. Picture is on the Old West River, which connects the River Cam/Ely Ouse to the Great Ouse. It used to be the main river before the fen drainage works diverted the main flow of the Ouse direct to Kings Lynn.

The picture was at a spot about an hours cruise away from our permanent mooring, we stayed there overnight and cruised back the next day. We have a rowing/sailing dinghy which you can see on the bank in front of the boat so did a bit of rowing as well (not wide enough there to get the sail up!). Normally I end up carrying out maintenance jobs as there always something to be done on a 50 year old boat - so this trip was a bit more relaxing!!

Sounds like a great day out was had messing about on the river.

I'm up to the boat next weekend but we will be just staying at our marina and using the boat as our base.
Going to Snetterton for the British Touring Car Championship as its only 30 minutes from Acle.
Meeting up with Freddie from the forum as well, should be a great day as I haven't been at any races this year.
Last race I went to was Knockhill in Scotland last August!

I was planning on going as well -- other family committments permitting. I'll keep a look out for you.
