Keith, I think you may be right cos when I phoned today he did mention several things with no prompting. Possibly cos if he hadnt he might have had a P***** Off potential customer just having driven 200 miles.
Now why didnt I think of JMA ??? Thanks John/ Keith. Off to get brain in gear. |

Hope not cos my 200 mile trip (and Return) to look at it tomorrow would be a bit of a waste!!
Should be there around lunchtime. Do know it was going for an MOT today so maybe somebody was having a look to make sure it passed !! Or maybe put it somewhere safe as the guy did say that he had a few problems with car damage lately Last edited by David3807; 19th September 2007 at 17:58.. |

I hope your 400+ mile trip is sucessful. Possibly the car was inside the workshop, but after passing the garage for almost a year and seeing the Tourer there, it was a shock to see it gone.
You should have no trouble finding the place .. Junction 26 on the M62 then 4 1/2 miles on the A58 towards Halifax. Garage on right at a place called Stump Cross. Good luck Dave T |

Even if we cant agree on a price its still a day out and an excuse to drive a another 75. And I have never been to Halifax.
Wouldnt be the first time i have been all over the country looking at cars. Back in the 70's I had set my mind on a 2.00L Vitesse Convertible and it took me six months to find the right one in Banbury Via Suffolk and a few other places. Must have been the right car cos I still have it Will report back on Friday. |

Well I had a look at the Tourer today and decided against it. Nice looking motor but a few scrapes, not dents just scrapes down to the white, bit of rubbing damage to leather on drivers seat, map pockets coming adrift on seat backs and missing Sat Nav box cos of water damage. TV and Radio work just no Sat Nav.
Didnt drive it cos the above more or less decided me before I got that far. Plenum looks dry and fan works with the air con - just a bit noisy as if second or high speed perhaps. Further investigation maybe. Trouble is I am no do it yourselfer and would have cost more than my budget for the motor to buy and fix to the standard I want. Having said that everybody has different standards and the scrapes do not show much normally. Only when you wash the car which would annoy me until they were fixed. SWMBO on the other hand thought the car looked superb and that from somebody who doesnt care what she drives as long as it goes. Would suggest that any one who would like to have a go get in touch with the seller and look at the car - the advertised price is certainly negotiable - I was offered the car at a lot less than the screen price. Could be a bargain for someone - just not me unfortunately . All this means that I am still looking for the right car for my set of door finishers. |

It has got a very high Mileage which would hit the price.
Not good feedback and a Car Hire Person? Would love the Electronic 6 Speed Gearbox though. |
