Cool

Evening everyone.

Trip to the tip, with Banana. Will have to introduce the wee car to this job. Took Banana for a run down to Liskeard and home. Wound the elastic band up and hit Warp Factor 3 with ease.

Proper smoked haddock, mash and green beans for tea.

Large single malt this evening.

Gum healing but still very sore. Broken filling replaced. Not doing much talking (her indoors is pleased) and we have the grandson (4) today, so the headache may not improve much! (but he is a tonic)

My son is also having a wisdom tooth removed today, so we are draining the NHS resources with a vengeance this week!

The neighbours are having work done and there's lots of drilling going on! Doh!

The worst thing is ....... no alcahol allowed until the gum heals! I quoted John Wayne films where they "sterilised" the area with whiskey but the dentist said "No"!

We got a letter from the council saying our next door neighbour will be having building & piling work done as trhey're putting a further storey on the kitchen extension, They've just dropped off a 20' container (welfare cabin) in the service road out back, How many builders are going to be on site! How they've managed to get that thing in the narrow street entrance is anyone's guess

I've got my job today off the kamp kommandant to shampoo the carpets

Phoned the helpline, woman most apologetic that Haddington isn't suitable, went on to read other vaccination centres but obviously had no clue where they are in relation to me, including one about 30 miles away on the other side of Edinburgh No idea why they're trying to send me to Haddington, all the other covid jabs have been about ten minutes away in Musselburgh.

I've to phone again nearer the time when more appointments and locations will be available.

I'm just waiting on my sister to send us the phone number for the local clinic that's only a mile away, I've taken Mam, older brother & sister there for their covid jabs, I ain't going to the suggested places that they mention in the NHS letter, Miles away

Went online and rescheduled the covid jab to a shopping centre next to Waverley station in Edinburgh. Not exactly next door but a hell of a lot more accessible than bleedin' Haddington. Step on the bus a minute's walk from the cottages and off outside the shopping centre, damn sight better than having to set off in the wrong direction then change buses. Apart from that Haddington buses suck, hourly service, would have had to either arrive late or an hour early.

Cool

Evening all.

Not the best of days for me. Had the worse diarrhoea I have ever had. It started with a bad case of wind and it just developed from there.

Stomach has settled after few of the Imodium tablets.

Might try a wee whiskey later, purely for medicinal purposes.
