Default Wiring Help Please.

Could someone advise on linking this receiver to my FBH please. Can't get my head around 'normally open' and 'normally closed.
Cheers.

I can't help with the FBH but I can translate that terminology for you. It describes the state of relay contacts when no power is applied to operate the relay. Therefore, 'normally open' contacts will close when the relay coil is energised and 'normally closed' contacts will open when it is energised. Relays often have both types of contact within the same enclosure.

Any help?

Simon

You will need to provide a chassis earth on the common contact of the relay, and the normally open contact is connected to pin three of the FBH.

So when you send your car the signal from the remote, the relay closes and switches on the FBH

Does this look ok? Something seems wrong, and it isn't the pic upside down

I beg to differ - it definately is upside-down!
Besides that though there seems to be an earth connection missing in one place and an extra unnecessary earth connected to the N.C contact of the relay.

However it's difficult to tell exactly where the connections should be from your photo's of the unit, I can't tell which way around the back photo should match with the front photo. Any instruction sheet with it?

Yes it would have helped thanks, along with other contributions it's been sorted. I just needed diagrams. It's a funny thing this club, I go years without realising who the experts are in particular problems.
