Yeah there's a mixture of different countries railways on this from what I've seen. You could spend hours & hours on these things without knowing it.

What a 'orrible day here, it's chucking it down with lots of standing water about.

Made an appointment with our GP first thing Monday, took blood and said she would ring back later that day or the out of hours Doc would do so, sure enough he did about 18.30pm, the blood test was showing there might be something wrong with the Liver, and would get a second opinion, they rang back about 19.00 and told to go to the hospital straight away for a CT scan and a possible stay in, I got her there around 20.00, two hours later they took another blood sample and told to wait until she was called, 22.00 they called her in for a chat about possible causes, could be a blocked bile duct, or anything??.

He advised it would not be a good idea to go to Germany this coming Thursday, but that was just his opinion, four and a half hours later called back in to speak to the registrar, who wanted to keep her in for more tests
No way were they going to find her a bed because there were other people waiting in wheel chairs for the same thing, and it would mean sitting in the waiting room until every one turned up for work. it was 02.30 in the morning.

So we suggested that we went home about 8 miles away and come back in the morning, now awaiting phone call!!! There is a vague possibility there could be a stone blocking the Bile Duct. only the CT scan will know, God willing hope that is all it is.

Search out the different sections on here for an idea for the answer.

Not sure then post up on here and we can move your question to the section best suited.

Default QMC Hospital part two Ten Hours

First off Dawn and me would like too thank all of you for your kind words.
As previously said, the hospital said they would ring me on my mobile in the morning telling us when we should come in for a Ultra Scan, this was 0230 am.
Come the morning expecting said phone call, in anticipation, being proactive we thought make our way to the hospital at 09.30 am only having three hours sleep
If they ring we would already be on our way, arrive at hospital at 10.30, arrive at the reception explaining the situation the girl said we don’t have your wife booked in, take a seat I will go and check, an hour goes by, she comes back and said the Ultra Scan was cancelled, Oh Bleddy brilliant I replied, my wife might have a serious problem and somebody decides to cancel an appointment withoout telling us, leave it with me I will check with the sister in charge, ten minutes go by, it’s okay we can give her a CT scan, we are now at 11.45, two hours later Dawn is called to give another blood sample, then await the test results.
Come two o clock I ask have the results come back yet, yes someone will be with you shortly, 15.30, they put a CANILER in her arm, ready for the CT scan if I have spelt that wrong sorry!.
16.15 we go down for the scan, half hour later all done, back up to the waiting room, to await the results, 18.30 called in for chat with a doctor, she said they could not see anything out of the ordinary, STRANGE?.
We asked if it was still okay to go on holiday to Germany this coming Thursday.
In her opinion could see no reason why not, but would need a second opinion,
RESULT, OKAY TO GO,!! Eventually got home at 20.30pm.

She is going too have more checks after we get back, but for God’s grace all seems to be well at the moment.

Once again many thanks for your concerns?

Dawn and Julien
