Ford Fiesta Lights
My son just called me to say that both dipped beam headlights on his 2014 Ford Fiesta have stopped working. The fuse box layout in his owners manual is not particularly helpful as it doesn't indicate a specific fuse for dipped beam although it does for high beam - so is it likely that dipped beam isn't fused? If it isn't then the logical conclusion is that the bulbs have blown, but how likely is it that one going would take out the other?
I'm hoping that someone with knowledge of auto electrics might be able to shine some light on the problem - if you'll pardon the pun! Thanks

It might just be the bulbs, I had a similar problem on a Focus. The owner claimed she had lost both dipped beams at the same time. I replaced both bulbs and it fixed it.
My theory was she did not realise she had lost one bulb but when the second one blew it was a problem. |

Definitely check the bulbs as a first shot. If it isn't clear which fuse is for the headlights then methodically check them all. Beyond that check all wiring connections where visible.

They are normally fused one on each side to prevent total loss.
As others have said, check the bulbs first.

Thanks everyone, I'll pick up some new bulbs tomorrow and hopefully they'll do the trick.

I've known people not realise that a dipped headlight was out until the other one followed suit, particularly if they drive in well lit areas most of the time.
