Throttle position sensor calibrate problem.
Hello All !!!
I am John and I am new member. I have a Freelander 1.8 2005, with 75 turbo engine on it. It is very nice car with good driving. My problem is that between 2000 - 3000 rpm, on acceleration, the car is too weak but when I make throttle position adaption [with 5 times depress accelerator] everything is fine. When I turn off the engine, the adaptions goes back and the problem is the same. Any idea about? Thank you. |

John, I think you misunderstand what "pressing the throttle pedal five times" procedure is actually for......it resets the IACV stepper position for throttle closed.
When you converted your Freelander, did you upgrade the fuel pump, as the output of a turbo 75 fuel pump is rated as delivering 1.2 litres per minute at 4.45 Bar, and the Freelander 1800 rated at delivering .65 litre per minute at 3 Bar. This may explain the problem you are experiencing Brian |

Thank you for your interest Bryan.
I have change two fuel pumps, and now I am working with 3 litres per hour pump. The problem is always the same except the first time that I am doing TPS adaption.!! It is like the eco is not able to store the adaptions. |

Are you running a modified NNN000743 Rover 25/45 automatic ECU in this build?
