Default 2.5 ltr won’t idle

Hi all,
My ZT190, which I spent a colossal amount of money on having the engine rebuilt, now won’t idle and stops when I take my foot off the accelerator.
I can start it ok, but it will not even idle from cold. Sometimes smells like it is running rich when I do start it. Can take it right up in the rev range, but just won’t idle.
If I let the car warm up, and very slowly bring the revs down, which takes a while, I can get it to keep running, but a soon as I touch the accelerator again and then take my foot off, the car stops.

Anyone else had similar experiences and can offer any pointers as to what might be wrong.
The car has not even done 1000 kilometres since it was rebuilt.
Graeme

Had a look at the idle control on the throttle body? Maybe it hasn't been connected properly.
