on the face of it looks like a proper honest car well looked after sometimes better to have a car with higher miles that has been in regular cared for use than low miles

I could have that for a spare

To be serious that sort of mileage is not a problem Scooter once told me that it won't fully loosen up until 80,000+ miles. I bought mine with 6,000 miles and it is now nudging 85,000 and it does feel better as the miles clock up.

With fuel at record heights and still rising, the V8's are going to drop in value...

Default drop in value?

I am not so sure. 260s are much rarer than SD1s were. Only 215 of mark ones. Of those 30 or so are tourers. So if you want a mk 1 tourer they are like rocking horse poo. Mine is a saloon and is therefore 1 of only 185 cars and in my colour it is much rarer. From what I have read from other 260 owners - they want the car for its rarity and luxury with muscle car power and sound. Thats why I wanted mine. So they will still be sought after.

However I accept things are only worth what people are prepared to pay so you might be right. 20mpg or not I will not be looking to sell mine anytime soon.

Cheers
Steve
