Simon has had a lot of enquiries from members about the chrome cups in the photo of the rear armrest cubby tray ( see post 1 of this thread )

Although he can't produce the cups he has made some chrome circles that fit exactly in the cup holder holes which gives a nice effect.

Picture below and also inserted with all the other accessories available at post 1 of this thread above

If anyone wants them Simon can supply at £6 + £1 delivery and they apparently look better in the flesh than in the picture

Door cappings are slightly held up whilst Simon awaits an order of resin to be delivered

I had the same problem, eventually removed the adhesive and used a normal contact adhesive - was fine after that...

I used to have Chrome Air Vent Trims and they stuck well enough if heated until almost floppy.... Are you heating them enough? And by the way, heating them the same amount enables the removal quite easy with no residue or marks left behind.

Enough and all was ok, but after some time the glue dried.

Yes, unfortunately I have found this with nearly all the Trim. Just a case of warming it up again and re-affirming it. I have to say it is the only disappointment.

I think the secret to good adhesion is thorough cleaning of the plastic and a warm temperature in the car and on the trim. I waited for a warm day (yes, we have had one!) when the sun was shining on the car, I put the trim on the dash, in the sun, and cleaned all surfaces with baby wipes/wet wipes, which I believe are alcohol based (hic). If you are able to reach the car with a hairdryer, that would be a great help. So far, touch wood (pardon the pun!), I've had no problems with any of the trim unattaching itself.

Chad.
