Default My ZTT has been hit!!!

Not badly but after reading so many posts of others on here getting this happen to them I was thanking my lucky stars it had not happened to me - but now it has.

Just parked outside my local Post Office for 10 min to post some stuff - taken my indicator lens out and pain scuff that should polish out.

Didn't notice it till I got home - just trying to ring the PO to check if they have cctv. I can but hope

bar stewards (sorry mods !)

Is there a "how to" on replacing the indicator light/lens?

looks like most of it will buff out which is good.
A new indicator and it will be back pretty right.
Worst comes to worst, get a spray can of 2 pak mixed up to your colour and then get some 2 pak clear and do the whole bumper.

Sorry to hear this, hopefully it won't cost too much to put right. I just hope the guilty party is identified, or if not has the same happen to them. See how they like it!!!

The PO just confirmed no cctv there

But as more rain is predicted I have managed a reasonable temporary repair using the bottom of a Robinsons Squash bottle. It is a perfect fit in the hole!!

End result is not pretty - but it will keep the wet out until i can get a replacement lens and fit it.

For those with orange indicator lens, a kinder egg fits snugly over a standard 21w bulb and retains the orange colour - had a rear end shunt at 7pm one night in Peugeot 205 driving school car, same pupil on test at 9am following morning with 8am pick-up so no time for new lens, examiner accepted as legal and passed pupil first time.

I have got a spare set of front Mark 1 ZT indicators that you can have for a £10 plus postage if you want them, and they have the rear connectors with bulbs as well, and are very clean

I absolutely despise the kind of people that can damage someone else's property and drive away.
Hopefully not an expensive repair - always very annoying to see!

Isn't it just!

Luckily I have a couple of rattle cans with lacquer as my ZTT came with a few scrapes that I dealt with last summer. I put these down to the elderly previous owner - know I am beginning to wonder if it was the poor old chap after all....
