Took my winter wheels off because I couldn’t wait to fit the refurbed ones! They’ll be back on in a day or two...

Done nothing to the Connie. Wanted to give it a good wash and polish, but the rain stopped play.

Tuesday
Sprayed PlusGas on the suspension bolts again, ready for new parts arriving.
I went to drive to work on Tuesday 7am and heard a crunch from the front right, reversed it back to the side of the house and my phone torch lit up a broken spring sticking into the tyre, Two new springs, strut bottom bolts & drop links ordered from DMGRS (thanks Mat) Tyre was still inflated but probably needs replaced. Should I order the protectors? Two weeks ago we did a near 400 mile round trip and it was perfect, a pleasure even in terrible weather, the car is now in daily use for the first time in years so these things will happen from now on I think. Anyway, the main thing is that I still want the car (as good as it already is!) to be back to its best and to have it for a long time, my spare time & bank balance are bracing themselves. John |

Gave it a wash and vacuumed the interior.
Then watched as the birds dive bombed it Ventured back into the warmth of the house and had a cooked breakfast, then did some non car related maintenance Mrs MB was very impressed, and many Brownie points awarded Brian |

Absolutely nothing! Its been raining here in NE Scotlnd for over a week now and no sign of it clearing this week. Poor car is sat on axle stands with the front nearside hub off whilst i tried to change the ABS sensor (now done). I even prefer snow to all this NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD- rain, at least it looks nice this time of year!!

New brake pipes fitted to both rear wheels. Got a bit cold once the sun had gone down but at least it stayed dry.
Just need to bolt the fuel tank back up and bleed the new pipes and job done. |
