Default I want to build a shed...

Along with getting my Rover Coupe back on the road this summer and giving the ZT a good going over, I have decided I want to build a shed. As you do.

Has anyone tackled this before?

I'm guessing 2x2" for the frame, but not sure what to use for the walls. I'm looking at approx 8x6ft, which is good because lots of wood comes in 2.4m lengths.

I think a quick and easy way to make walls is to use boards, like plywood or something similar.

Please give me ideas! There's not really a budget, but obviously cheaper the better.

Default shed

2x2 tanalised for frame work you could use a 1"x4"t&g for external just treat it well and use good quality paint or treatment . if your lining in side use 9mm marine ply.. I jusy built last year a 16`x8` "shed" but i used 4x2 frame and 15mm shuttering ply and covered in plastic cladding.. and for work this year just finished a summer house 3m sq , we used 4x2 and 1.1/4" t&g !! bit over kill ... one thing i would suggest is if possible put a pitched roof on and check with planning department you`ll e supprised how big you can go ..

If you are looking at a 'standard' sized shed, would it not be cheaper to buy one, then add to it as you want?

Im doing that as we speak, im using 4x3 but it is a big shed 30x10, for the walls we have used shiplap, gives a really nice smooth finish inside,

I built an 8x6 shed used 2x2 for frames and 125mmx18mm shiplap gave a good finished shed & waterproof don't know if t&g would be so waterproof

18mm ply for the base
