Mr Meths buys a MGf
After an altercation with a bus, "Charles" was "fixed", read: bodged. They repaired it cosmetically and handed it back, It wouldn't go over 50mph without weaving and the panel gaps were all out. I employed my local repair company to bring him back to life, the assessment was that the chassis was twisted rather significantly and would cost around 3.5k to repair with no guarantee that it would feel the same to drive. After getting the engineers report, First bus wrote the car off . They paid out £1400 for it (FLYER knows what I bought it for!). I bought the car back for a quid and handed it to the local repair company.
The repair company has used the parts from my car (most of the undamaged front end) which has made it feasible to fix another local persons rover 75 (in the same colour!) which was involved in a hit and run incident. He's also delighted with all the pre-project drive goodies. I was asked what I wanted for the car and I was happy to sign it over to the repair company for £1 to help the guy. Anyway, after the frustration of looking for an honest, cheap car. I had spent £20 in fuel going to see an Audi that was described as "perfect", Turned out to have a different shade front bumper and a ruined clutch. Many other cars were looked at with faults that needed fixed upon inspecting the car. Frustrated, I went to look at a MGf. Owned by a mechanic, 1 year mot, New disks, pads, tyres. It was in good condition aside from small dents and marks on the bodywork (I'm fussy, you can't see them unless you look for them!). A bit smokey on startup, but it will do. Advertised for £500 with his new company car just delivered. My offer of £400 was accepted. I didn't think the practical side through. I normally have up to 3 passengers. Tall people struggle into the passenger side, and they struggle on the way out; It is not dignified. Looks as-if the car is giving birth. So, i'm on the lookout for a good mg zt v6. Willing to take my time looking for one that is in excellent condition. I'm using it for going up to Aberdeen to work off-shore, I would prefer something more... Refined. Because of the accident, my girlfriend has had to take the TVR to Germany, she was supposed to take the rover 75! But we weren't allowed to take the hire car abroad. The fuel costs are astronomical! Having 2 convertibles aint bad

Fun cars and what looks like a lovely example with cream leather.
Good luck and there seem to be lots of zts for sale at the moment. |

Really fun. Drove it back from Aberdeen today. Good to be home at-last. Had a good look around it today and all seems good. For what I paid for it, it's awesome!

I know, it's gutting
I pass by the car that was repaired using the parts from my car every day, It's a proper minter. Looks lovely. I spoke to him this morning. He's rather pleased with it now that he has a real wood dash and some of the extra sound insulation that my car had, amongst other parts. A strange coincidence having my car sat next to an identically colored car in the repair yard.

Looks a nice little motor you got there.
Sorry to hear about the other one being written off. Not much solace I know, but at least it has kept at least one other car on the road.
