Default O-ring specialists?

Not on the ZT but I have an air-con problem on the other motor.
Had it tested with a dye tracer and there is a leak on each pipe to the compressor at the compressor joint end. Tech Mech says I need a new compressor (surprise surprise), me, I think borrocks, it needs new O-rings.
Problem is I don't know what to buy, size or material wise. The snotty German dealership don't want to know unless I hand it over to them, and I would rather have them on hand before I do a stripdown.
I am quite prepared to buy a pack of assorted sizes, but I need to know what type of material and size range for this type of application.

Mick

Have you done a Google for 'O-ring specialists'? You can also get selection packs on eBay.

find out from Jules where he gets the 'other' Viton O rings from - I bought the first pack to distribute but I've mislaid their details. I'm sure they would help.

Thanks Podge, already been there.
Problem is, as I said, I have no idea of the size.
Obviously less than 2cm, but how much less, and what section, diameter..............

Can see me with the car in bits, then searching for the right rings.

If its definately a BMW compressor have a look at this BMW website.
http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E4..._conditioning/
and check out the exploded diagrams.

Unlike MG-Rover they list all O-rings & gaskets.
BMW seem to have set price for all O-rings on all parts, = €1.26 Euros each.

I have bought O-rings direct from BMW parts department in the past after being ripped off by a MG dealer who insisted that you can't repair ZTT/R7/BMW fuel pump/sender units.
They'd never heard of the common BMW fuel pump/sender fault of 'Dissolving O-rings!
He was then proved wrong and now hangs his head in shame!

Not a BMW compressor, it's on a Merc.
