Regards the dosing pump tho ... I see there are now hundreds of these Chinese pumps suitable for Webastos all over the net and they all have the same square socket on. I contacted the seller i bought mine from a year ago and he sells one of the plugs for $9 or so but i would have to wait for it to come all the way from China. Surely they can be bought in the uk ...?

In terms of the bracket base for the pump, are they two nuts or two bolts holding it on??

This looks as if it should fit, but you would have to check.

Wish they were about when I bought mine a few years ago (from eBay seller angelinapostalparts), for about £50!

2 nuts hold the whole pump assembly to the car, there are two studs about 2 feet in front of rear offside wheel. The bracket is in two parts, two nuts are welded onto one part of the bracket and you need 2 6mm? bolts to hold the two parts of the bracket together.

I managed to get the plug to fit by prising up the two contact points in the socket -- they are too low down (or high up depending on which way you look at it) but have slotted in where they're meant to.

I'm looking at what looks like a square plate with a small gap between it and the arch. It has two rusty nuts / bolt heads I've rounded off. Are you saying I'm looking at two bolts which are screwed into two nuts welded on the back of that plate?

Been a while since I did mine but yes two bolts onto the plate sounds about right, get some penetrating fluid onto it, try hammering different sockets onto it if all else fails drill it out or grind a channel into it the heat should help then screwdriver on it to remove, at least you only need to remove one

Thanks Eddy. I'm thinking i might just drill a hole in the plate and screw my own nut and bolt in. My pump has a plasticy rubbery type clamp and only needs one bolt to secure it. It'd just be difficult to get a nut behind that plate i reckon...

HI Billy.
Here are a few photo's below for you which shows or should show what you are explaining, you can remove that plate and because you have the single bracket holder you can just bolt it to on of the threads

Arctic that's brilliant mate thank you. I'll just have to cut at least one of those nuts off without harming the thread so i can screw my bracket on with a nut. I just couldn't work out whether they were bolts screwing in or nuts on the end of studs - those pictures make it really clear tho - thanks mate!

No I've got it plumbed in and all seems well. I seem to have replaced around 50-75ml less coolant than was lost.I've been out on a 40 mile motorway journey today and the expansion tank is at max, the temp was ideal and the heaters were blowing hot so presume all is well!
