Cruise Control not working.
Hi folks,
I've recently purchased a Mk2 CDTI auto. The cruise control doesn't seem to work (at all). ECU where it should be, button on centre console, steering wheel controls, ipac with message centre. Fuses checked, seem fine. When I press the button on the centre console, it doesn't illuminate. Cruise doesn't show up on the dash, etc. Maybe its a faulty button. Failing that, any ideas where to look next?

That or someone might have hidden an ABS fault and the NSF wheel isn't sensing correctly.

Since your master switch is not illuminating when you press it, i'd start with that

Thanks to everyone for the quick response.
I've sourced a duplicate switch, so that will be the first thing I'll check. I'll return with the good news, (or the bad).

Alternative switch didn't help - still doesn't illuminate, still no cruise.
Checked the switch at the top of the pedal - seems to be positioned properly (brake lights come on, so I reckon it's working correctly). Any suggestions from here?
