Very nice - I'm another that's unsold on silver but the Mk2 ZT does carry it off rather well.

I miss my ZT190, now owned by carguy143 on here. Brilliant cars, I just need a diesel for my distant outings and deliveries!

Black Pearl is interesting, it has a definate purple hue to it in the sun. A bit like an over ripe Blackberry.

That's a good way of putting it and I,ve noticed the same when I,ve polished metallic black before, that said, I thought Black Pearl was a non-metallic
Hopefully I will get to see the over ripe blackberry on sunday

Black Pearl is a Pearlescent.

The wife has a Meganne which the colour is also known as Pearl Black, but in comparison the Meganne has a brownish hue to it.

Pearlescent!! Really I never knew that!
I,ve not played with pearlescent for years but off the top of my head, a base coat of white, obviously black and an added aluminium flake
The aluminium flake reacts to sunlight, creating an illusionary secondary colour, I,e, purple

You make it sound so glamorous, but it is a rather nice colour effect when viewed in the sun with other black plastic areas on the car to compare.

The later colour additions to the facelift ZT range were Goodwood green and Fire Frost, these were also Pearlescent.
