Default Checking auto gearbox solenoid resistance?

Have started to get noticeable delay-thump when moving between R-P-D with engine at tickover, e.g. parking manouevers.

Have just checked the solenoid resistance, using a Freelander chart I saved from somewhere with a multimeter set to the appropriate range. I'm by no means an auto electrician, so this may be user error.

Measuring at the loom connector on the NSF wing, pin side, ignition off, I get the figures as shown. Each is a bit above what they should be, but they are consistent so do not suggest (to me!) that any particular solenoid or sensor has failed.

Am I being a multimeter numpty? I checked that I get zero resistance indicated if I touch the (cleaned) probes together, had previously sprayed switch contact cleaner onto both sides of the loom connector.

Have you checked the lower engine mount? If the gearbox is functioning fine then it's probably not that. Nothing seems particularly untoward in those figures anyway.

If you get consistent over reading then maybe your meter isn't that accurate.

I have had the same Fluke meter for well over twenty years - great bit of kit.

Christmas is coming so why not treat yourself, or better still let someone else treat you.
