ok, here's a quick 'what I did'
used one of these and a couple of these Two of these A soldering iron and solder Dremmel type of drill & cutter bit Glue gun Wire An old flash that was going to be thrown out A head phone jack & socket (not ideal for high voltage - if flash isn't discharged properly, it will short as unplugged. Wouldn't recommend using) Cost about £10 not including the old flash unit. I should add that taking apart a flash unit can be dangerous if you don't know what your doing. They use high voltage. Don't blame me if you zap yourself or something.
