Nope neither did i! There'll be a lot of stuff to change around. Remember when the 2 pound came in seemed to take ages for everywhere to accept them.

It looks like the old thru'penny bit. probably worth about the same too these days.

Apparently 1 in 30 of the round £ coins are fake. The round ones fall from use next Autumn.

Members should also be aware there are already fake versions of the new £5 plastic note about. I got my first one today and checked it before leaving the shop.

I get a few fake ones in the cab .

They go straight to the next punter in their change ..

The new ones have been made like that, so you can get them out of a Scotsman's hand, using a spanner

I do the same , sometimes get the odd Euro , and try to pass it to next custie in change.

Hey one's found it's way down here! I've just noticed someones given me a €uro in my change

Having never left the shores of Blighty it's the first time I've seen one. they're a bit narrower than a £ coin. I'll have to see if I can palm it off to someone else.
