Default Autosol on Headlights

Hi to all.
I've been busy cleaning up my old Road bike of late and I've been amazed by how well the faded alloy components have come up with Autosol. There's a good YouTube clip showing how well it brings up plastic headlights too. The guy demonstrates it by rubbing the compound over the light, wearing a disposable glove ( the thin ones most mechanics use nowadays ) and simply uses the tip of his fingers to polish the light up. It looks really effective with minimal effort required. I not tried it my self but it may be a good alternative to the 3M kit.

Solvol Autosol - brilliant stuff - effective but not harsh.

Have used it on motorcycle engine cases and you can get an almost mirror like gleam with a little effort.

I would have thought it would do well on "milky" headlights. Would probably use a soft grade of wet and dry to start with and then final finish with the Autosol.

There are lots of mildly abrasive creams you can use, I have used Autosol myself on my headlight lens's and it works absolutely fine.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

If you think Autosol is good try Peek, a far superior product and if you have chrome makes the best job ever.

Or here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Peek-Metal...oAAOSwU~FWEreJ
Been using it for years on the Minis
Still don't think you can beat the 3M kit for your headlights though

Solvol Autosol. Been around for at least 60 years. Used to use it on my m/ cycle for polishing up the handlebars/ crank case /wheels, anything chrome, alloy and if you have a slight scratch in paintwork.
