Sounds like a great adventure Phil, grass looks like it could do with watering

Ahh yes Ian, the photo was from last Christmas when it was very dry. The Landy accelerator pedal could not be fixed, so we won’t be taking it which is a bummer and I won’t be driving the Disco V8. The Discovery and 2 other Landy’s will leave at 6 am tomorrow going ahead of us, a different route taking the camping equipment up Mount Kenya for a few days then onto our final destination. Jessica will be driving a Pajero. Aunt Sue (photo) will be sharing the drive with Jessica ....

myself the Isuzu and a Brother-In-Law, his Jeep. We are taking food supplies, beers and cool boxes. We have 2 “Life Straws” which filters river/lake water at 12L p.h and that will cut down having to carry large volumes of drinking water for the camp. A 4x4 down, means we are redistributing supplies and cars. A delay getting away is Africa!

Good morning Bob, Good morning all, we had the mechanics from Land Rover back last night at 10pm. They took an ECU out of the Short Base Landy and put it into the silver LWB, codes it in and got it working again. The ECU from the LWB was put into the SWB, it worked, but for how long we don’t know, the SWB is staying. We added a rental - a Toyota Landcruiser, which arrived at the crack of dawn. All packed up and hoping the silver LWB is going to make it up the mountain. Feels a bit like Thunderbirds “anything could happen”
