Default V8 visual differences

waiting to turn right at a roundabout tonight, when a mk2 ZT passed in front of me.

I knew it was a V8 instinctively before I could see the back end, due to its stannce on the road, this set me wondering, is the suspension lower than the lesserZT's or would it have been because it's RWD, and will sit down at the back when power is applied.

Think the V8's do sit lower as my trolley jack won't fit under mine.!!
But fits easy under a CDTi
After all a lot of the suspension is completely diffierent anyway.

the one I saw was definitely lower at the back- I think they were caning it out of the roundabout , didnt hear the soundtrack as my window was closed ( I was in the clio so was hiding ), but there was a lot of oomph coming out of the exhausts

Default 260 visual difference

The 260's also have small lower front rubber spoliers, on each corner of the front edge of the bumper, which other ZT's do not

Strange that the ride-height would be different at the front and at the rear? Is it that much of a difference to be noticable or are we talking millimeter differences here?

The only other tell-tale sign is the big smug grin on the drivers face...

Mine does sit lower at the front and about the same as the 190 at the rear. This is because I carry a full size spare and my 260 kit in the boot. The other thing that may give you the impression they are lower at the rear is the diff etc. On the fwd 75/ZT its just space so would make it look higher.

This is the lowest part of the car

Yep, the difference is simple FWD against RWD and all the different dynamics that go with it.

Your right about the grin

thanks for the replies and pictures.

I must admit Ive never noticed the little corner spoilers before. they look similar to to those fitted on the coupe, which were designed to be ripped off by speed humps !!
