Default Diesel engine cutting out

Rover 75 CDT 2002, 110,000 miles.
Engine cutting out once started (starts perfectly), cuts out on tick over or at any speed/any gear. After 20 cut outs will usually run OK. Always starts again straight away. Will cut out at (any) speed mainly when decelerating. Engine has been flushed, tank and lines removed and cleaned out, diesel and air filters replaced. What else can I do?
Thanks in anticipation of resolving this without spending a fortune!!

Are the plenum drains clear such that the ECU has not been flooded?

Have you tried running with the MAF disconnected?

Thanks for the info so far. The MAF was next on the list so will get back to you shortly and will also look into the other things you have mentioned. Fingers crossed.

Unhappy

I have exactly the same problem and have had for months. Nothing shows up on T4 diagnostics even when cutting out while still connected. Also takes a few seconds to stop when key turned off. pumps changed, tank checked etc., ecu reprogramed and still fault is there. fuel pump relay check next. Will keep you advised if you wish.

When this fault occurs and the engine cuts out there is no feed to the secondary fuel pump, therefore next stop pump relay behind the glove box. With nothing showing up on T4 it looks like this is going to be a drawn out trial and error job. Thank you Mr H Honda for a reliable motorcycle....I'll not be beaten tho, I shall fix it..
