My car doesn't vibrate at tickover or any revs when stopped and not in gear,

but when driving and engine is under load , there is a vibration/buzzing from around dash area at around 1500-2000rpm.( accelerating hard increases the buzzing intensity)

I have already changed the lower engine mount. I did have a mechanic check it out ages ago and he cured the vibration by moving the clutch cylinder pipe next to the clutch pedal that goes through bulkhead slightly away from the body and replacing some rubber grommets( I may not be right here). He also fitted new exhaust rubber hangers.

The vibration went away for a while but is now back, I have a feeling it could be the exhaust moving and rubbing on the body. I will look into what Shiner has done.

But then another mechanic said it could be the DMF out of balance!!

A great thread still left hanging with no conclusion to an issue a lot of diesel owners have - vibration in the steering at idle.
Pity no feedback re shiners exhaust bracket fix was listed as we will never know.

Its not rocket science...

If the engine is vibrating, its either the mounts, or unbalanced injectors.

If the injectors are fine, then 14year old mounts are going to be the main culprit!

New top right hydro-mount didn't fix my vibration.
But a new steering column did.
