Default KV6 Power steering pump rebuild

I'm busy rebuilding my pump and am looking for torque settings for the 4 allen head bolts on the pump casing, the ones that clamp the main gasket.
All I can find is a video for a Landy pump and the guy suggests between 10 and 15lb.
Any suggestions appreciated,

regards

Ian

Default Parts for the rebuild

Hi Ian
I am presuming you have to replace some parts of the pump, please can i ask where you got them from?

Ditto the above, just a source for the waist gasket would be helpful.

Thanks

I just took a chance on one of the offerings on eBay, the one from R&R Steering as it looks the same even though it said it wasn't compatible. I'm only going to use the gaskets and the o ring seals. The kit came yesterday and I'm just about to go do it so will get back to you in an hour or so but the main gasket looks like the correct part on initial trial.

regards

So that seems to be fine, back up and running and no problems so far but will need a run out and a warm up to be sure.

This is the kit I went for

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/133630432909

I have only used the main gasket and the metal 8 shaped gasket plus one of the O rings for the input pipe although it looked a little on the small side but looks to be doing its job so far.

Only concern I had was I used Loctite blue for the 4 bolt threads of the casing, I should have probably put the Loctite down the holes of the pump body in hindsight, but I actually put it on the threads of the bolts and its oozed out of the sides past the gasket so I'm hoping it does not affect the soundness of the gasket over time.

Will update in a day or so after a longer run out.

regards
Ian

Just to recap the gasket looks fine, been a for a couple of runs and no issues.

the details below might be of help to others, this was for my Rover 75 KV6 2.5 2002 model.

My pump is an HA model, part no. QVB101411 HE1205095/14.
