Default Renewing license at 70

What is the procedure please?

Do they write to you or you chase them, what does it involve please?

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

I have just tried to run through the online process - it didn't let me get far, I'm not old enough. Not often that I get told I am not old enough

It does depend on how far away you are from 70,

I did have a letter from the DVLA saying my licence is about to expire,This was in the December as my licence expired in the January.

And as said I then did it on line with no problem using my pasport ID

It says on the site - within 90 days of your birth date (prior to).

I don't have a photo licence, just the old green printed paper one, so they will not have my mug shot on file.
