Default Electrics seats and powerfold mirrors

I have got hold of an interior with leather and electric seats, my own V& does not have this, is the wiring all in place, and do I need to go in and programme the car to activate it all? Also got hold of som powerfold mirrors, is this just plug and play, or do I need a T4 session?

Regarding your Powerfolds. I've done the job myself on my Connie SE.

Apart from the mirror units you will need the mirror and window drivers control switch unit with the additional button for the fold/unfold.

If you're lucky, the 'across car' wiring will be incorporated in the existing loom, if not you'll have to make this up yourself. You will also need two drivers door looms which incorporate the powerfold wiring or you'll have to make up the additional wiring yourself, check out the 'How to' section, there's great info there.

The doors will have to come off, no way around this I'm afraid. Reason being access to the wiring loom plug which is hidden inside the rubberised cable cover in the door jamb between the hinges. The doors are quite heavy, I managed it alone but a second pair of hands and muscle would have been useful!

Having changed the mirrors and switch unit and door wiring loom they worked instantly!

If you have this black plug under the front seats then your electric memory seats just need plugging in.

There is no need for a T4 session for either the electric memory seats nor the power fold mirrors.

Yep, to enable the key to move the seats, t4 is required.
