Default Dash problems - help?

Hi guys,

Right I have a few questions/problems with my dashboard, would appreciate some help.

1) How can I change my dashboard/IPK language? Which tool should I use?

2) My IPK is showing some errors like Pneumatic suspension fail, but my car doesn't have that feature (Pneumatic suspension). So how can I get rid of this strange error/icon? Need to deactivate some option? Again, which tool?

3) My dash is not counting trip miles, instead it says "Err". What can I do to fix this? Also outside temperature is showing as -30C degrees (I suppose the temperature sensor is damaged).

Any help is highly appreciated.

Regards!

Can't help with language, probably need a T4 dealer diagnostic check to do that. An option being displayed but not fitted usually requires T4 to reconfigure things.

Dash not showing trip mileage is often a common fault (blip in software) turn off/ restart usually cures it.

-30C ambient air temperature often the sensor behind front wing is now dislodged, cure refit it to bracket, or is faulty and will need another known good one (used) if you can swap temporarily that will confirm.

Do you have a picture of where the ambiente air temperature should be located?

As for the rest, I really wonder if is there any other tool that can program these cars instead of T4...

As here I don't have access to a T4

Sounds like the ipk is not original?

It should be coded to the car by T4, perhaps it thinks you have all of these things due to incorrect coding(zcs).

The Err message can be this or a lsm (light switch module) which is new and also needs coding....

- 30 could be temp sensor or the plug that joins the indicators and sensor to the car loom when the bumper is removed

Yes, not original IPK.
But can't I order some BMW tool or something that is compatible, and can do this programming, instead of the T4? It's because I don't have or know anyone in my country with a T4 unit...

As for the temp sensor, where should I look for it?

Also, could you tell me which languages are available in the IPK?

Thanks

This thread, along with the download created by Phil T4 may help with the language, although I cannot confirm
