Default NOVEMBER SCOTTISH MEET - Sun 22nd

Please be aware this is not an official 75 & ZT Owners Club meet and as such is not covered by the clubs public liability insurance. Also the owners club take no responsibility for the meet in any way.

Hi all.

Further to the recent Falkirk Meet where the members present mooted a possible meet before Christmas, new member AldoR got the ball rolling.

We have a few members already up for a meet at Loch Lomond Shores on Sunday 22nd November.

We have picked this date as that is the day the Christmas Lights will be switched on accompanied by a fireworks display.

Further details of the venue are available here: http://www.lochlomondshores.com/index.htm

This should be a grand day out and the presence of Jenners, Thorntons, Julian Graves, Star Boudoir, Misty Glen, Ponden Mill, Edinburgh Woolen Mill, Catherine Kinloch and other outlet type stores might even encourage families and partners to come along too to partake of some early Xmas shopping.

Hopefully we will get a nice day, however the light for photographs and views of the loch will have gone by the back of 4pm (fireworks & Xmas lights are scheduled for 15:00 to 17:30 and will obviously wait for the dark) so I think we should aim for a relatively early meet time of 13:00, unless anyone has a different suggestion. That would give us 4 to 4 1/2 hrs.

For eating, if we want a wee seat, there is the Kilted Skirlie (Bar Restaurant), Cafe Zest at Jenners and Caffe on the Shores to choose from. There is also a Sea Life Centre, woodland walks and Loch cruises.

Anyway, we have 13 members who are up for it and 6 possibles. Please add your name to the list if you are able to make it along for what should hopefully be another good day out. Hope to see you all on the 22nd.

Derek

Excellent Magellan and look forward to meeting you this time. I take it you found a house then? Where did you end up (you need to update your profile by the way!)

Fantastic Martin and looking forward to seeing your fantastic paint job and meeting you this time. Just a short journey for you this time?

This is looking like it could be a busy one. Any more members looking for a good day out, come along and join us.

Derek

Hi Martin,

As you suggest, it is likely to be busy for the Xmas lights, but hopefully we will be early enough at 1 O'Clock to grab some space in the furthest away car park.

In any situation like this if we pick the corner of the car park furthest from the venue we are most likely to be able to park all of us together.

I have attached an aerial photograph highlighting the suggested car park.

Does this seem okay for everyone?

Hope to hear from more members and increase numbers. At 10 cars already with 6 weeks to go.

Derek
