Default Sat Nav issue on my new (to me) Ztt

Hi all

Fairly new to Zt ownership and have recently got a Ztt SE with a hi line ICE system, but sat nav does not work or show on screen.

So the disc came out and you can hear it, i assume trying to read the CD but nowt on screen.

Unit in boot is plugged in etc but has a red light on it does this mean it US. By the looks of the bracket it has got wet in the past but this could be the replacement

Any ideas what to do next? I've read loads of posts but none (i can find) really tells me if mine is duff and repairable or not?

Who repairs these now days as i'd rather keep it original.

TYa

Bean

I did try to add a pic but seems i don't know how. But it shows the screen which list television (does not work as analogue i assume) settings and screen off and nothing else so no sat nav is selectable, but def the hi line.

Hello Keith,

If you open the boot with the key removed from the ignition switch and wait a few minutes, does the red light on the sat. nav. disc drive/computer extinguish?

If it doesn't, your guess is probably correct that water ingress has killed the unit. The solution is to seek a replacement on e-bay or from a member of this club.

Yes, the TV tuner is analogue.

Hi Simon

Cheers for that.

The red light goes out immediately rather than after a few mins and there is never a green light, i'm sure i've seen a light green in some images.

So do i buy a SH one (about £100 of fleebay) or is it likely to be somehting else and how do i tell.

There is a local who will do a diagnostic but as that £50 just to give me an idea what might be wrong i wondered if there was a DIY method as that half the price of the unit.

Cheers

Keith

I've never come across that Keith but I do know that a working sat. nav. drive should take about thirty seconds for the red LED to extinguish.
