Good morning Bob, I am sorry to read you are still battling the bugs. My advice Bob, is to seek medical attention. If it’s bad you might need antibiotics to kill the bug in your system. People don’t always realise how severe Salmonella etc can be. Several times I had to be admitted into hospital or A&E with food poisoning in Nairobi for I/V rehydration and treatment. If you can’t get to the GP, ask for a home visit or call an ambulance. In South Africa I was severely dehydrated, which led to electrolyte imbalance and heart failure - a week in ICU, but that was cause by being wrongly prescribed a diuretic and was nothing to do with a bug.

Here is something I found in the loft, an old photo from when I worked on the air ambulance. It could make you laugh or cry

Morning all, frosty this morning and looking on the beeb's weather site there's a weather warning out for heavy rain later this morning.

Same weather here Ian, tipping down now,the start of storm Diana apparently..
Still having horrendous trouble with this van, I had all the injectors replaced about a month ago with recon units, cost me £650 ,and it’s still overfuellimg. It chuffs out white smoke on cold start, which clears after about half a mile of driving, and it stinks of unburnt diesel. Going to try a French car specialist tomorrow, and see if they can throw any info my way. If not then after Xmas,I will be looking for something else of similar value, as I could go on spending money on this and still never get the fault rectified. I will lose a lot of money, best part of 50% of what I paid for it, and will be in negative equity, but will just run something else until the loan term is finished, then get a lease van. Can get a new Transit or Vivaro for about £180 p/m plus vat, get it serviced each year, and any repairs are covered under the warranty.

With apologies to Jack Warner - evening all. Today started out cold, but bright. Since then, it's gone downhill - now it's even colder, wetter, and there's a North Easterly wind slathering the rain against the windows.
Think I'll go to bed and wrap myself up in a couple of duvets

In a moment of madness, I thought I would share with the residents of the LCOZ my moment in the public eye back in May this year - accompanying my daughter up the aisle.
This is merely photo number 106 out of a total of 550+ that the photographer took

Stands back and waits for comments - no worries, I've got a very thick skin
