Aerial placement
Hi all,i have a MG ZT 2l diesel 2005 and i am replacing the single unit with a 2 din model that has DAB+ Radio and other goodies.
Now i have had DAB+ radios in the past and have found out that the window stick on aerial is not that very good and it can loose reception in certain places, which is why i intend to fit either a roof mounted aerial or a body mounted unit. The question is where is the best place to mount one? Front wings,Rear wings or Roof. |

Fitted mine on the roof above the rear courtesy light. it's good for access and doesn't look out of place, most cars have them in this position.

As above.I have a roof mounted amplified shark fin fitted above the courtesy light.I found that dab+ reception was not stable under some conditions and with weaker stations with a screen aeriel.

Just to add, I actually drilled the roof rather than fit a 'mag mount'. Aerial is a powered one and works great. Glad I switched to a DAB+ radio, the FM stations around here are few and keep fading out.
