Well the problem here is everyone will have their own opinion - so here's mine

I have a 1.8T manual 03 Connossieur

It drives absolutely brilliantly only ever had general service and maintenance, does 36 - 38 MPG, complete comfort as with all the 75's

Cost me just £2100 a year ago with 35,000 on the clock and 1 lady owner.

I've upgraded it quite a bit so it's more or less an SE now.

There will be a completely differing opinion along shortly

Get a v6 tourer with LPG fitted. you then get the fun of a V6 but only pay £2.50 per gal.

Why did you get rid of the ZT?

Anyroad my 1.8 connie cost me £1800 on an 02 plate with 75k on the clock back in January. It will not set the world on fire but it is a relaxed drive and returns good economy. It's not the SE mind so lacks the extra toys. Perhaps pick a connie up for £1500 then use the spare cash for upgrades? Doubt you'd get a diesel for this money and spec though?

after you having a 2.5 v6,silky smooth and all that power, not forgeting the sound..
would find it hard to step down to a 1.8,diesel maybe a sensible choice.
se spec with all the extra bits...nice

looks ok
but a cannot see anything about history on it
so will have to check that out.
i sold the zt because i wanted a more relaxed ride
at 49 i don't feel the need to rip up the countryside
anymore............

180 V6 best of both worlds, relaxed drive, plenty of grunt when needed.
