First, thanks for all the input on this thread. I plan to do the job this weekend, if the tool arrives, which is the shorter one specifically for the M47r transverse - would've fallen into that trap without the input from everyone.


I've bottled out on re-sealing the pump. I'll not be where my "bench and vice" and main tool kits are. Got a recon pump from PF Jones and when I send the old pump back it'll cost £180 and it comes complete with new DRV fitted. Their low reviews all seem related to idiots ordering the wrong towbars or not reading the directions properly for fitting!


Printed off info from this thread and got everything ready, even a bottle of jack oil because the trolley jack's leaky but have the good axle stands and several robust joist offcuts.


I reckon the most difficult thing for me will be getting the electrical connector off the DRV, I always lose patience and break something with these electrical fiddly bits. Usually good with the mechanical stuff.
