Tim Peters RIP
Tim Peters South West Rovers RIP
Former Canman / Ist Steward / Medic at Merchant and Royal Navy A friend on Facebook His wife posted this up on Facebook one day ago. This morning Tim passed away from a series of massive heart attacks. Derriford hospital tried very hard to save him but it was all too much for him. His life support was removed and he passed very quickly and peacefully. Gone to be with his lovely Mollie xx |

RIP Tim Peters. The name rang a bell but I don’t think I ever met him.

I also never met him but we became friends on Facebook, through a mutual interest in anything paramedic and Rover 75 ownership. Through my work in MediVacs, I had been to some of the military hospitals he knew, another interest. On Facebook he has received over 100 tributes, some from the military veterans he knew. Looking back he never posted here, but he was invited to some of the meets in the South West years ago. Tim opted for a simple cremation with his ashes scattered over the HMS Scylla at a later date, rest easy. Condolences to his wife and family. |

So sad to hear about Tim Peters' passing. It's amazing how social media can connect people with shared interests, even if they never met in person. It's clear that Tim had a strong presence online and will be deeply missed by his friends and family. My condolences to his loved ones, especially his wife. May he rest in peace, and may his ashes be scattered in a beautiful ceremony over the HMS Scylla.
