BMW stereos, which one (if any) will fit?
Hi!
Came across a couple of units for BMW that looked interesting. This one for the E46: http://shop.textalk.se/se/article.ph...17&art=5201952 And this unit for E39, E38 and X5: http://shop.textalk.se/se/article.ph...17&art=6035045 Question is if any of these units will fit my R75??? |

The E46 unit will be a perfect fit. The only thing you will have to adapt are the two "ears" on the side to slide to unit in.

Noticed those ears and imagined that they had to go However, it's been a long time since i've checked the forum and i discovered that there is an option from the "radioguy" which looked nice... Does anyone know if the maps covers Norway and Scandinavia as well on his units?? |

Those unit are for a MG 7, and will be even more a perfect fit! (As steering wheels controls concerned).
The BMW-unit will also work, but you'll have to change some settings. The MG7-unit works instantly! As far as I know you can install IGO or TomTom software on it, so you'll have to choose your own maps. But ask radioguy for the info, I don't know if navigation software already is included.

Yes, the MG7 unit will work with the controls of the steering wheel. Because the MG7 is basically the same car as our Rover 75.
Depending on the BMW unit (there are different ones on the market), you can select these options in het "Settings" menu, and there will be an option Controls. At least, someone of the Dutch forum I know very well, told me. But as said there are differences in units / firmware, so which one uses this setting I don't really know. Personally I would choose the MG7 unit, just to be sure everything works.

The Beemer unit converts to roughly around 1000 US$ so the MG7 unit is a bit cheaper as well. Hate when multiple choises appear |
