Default insurance prices are ridiculous

just thought i would have a look at some quotes as my insurance is due in feb. i couldnt believe it......... the cheapest one is coming back at £715.00 .... they must be on drugs or something ,,, last year fully comp with saga was £320.00, i have not got m y renewal reminder as yet but i reckon on paying about £40 more than last year if not the same ,,now that has been how it has worked out in the 33 odd years i have been driving .... just wondering what saga will quote.. if its too much there is no way i will pay over the top prices so may have to sell the beast..... and get a hoop and stick

It's very difficult ya know James! I am 17, and a years full comp insurance on a ZT cdti is a heady £1400 But then, taking everything into account, the way it drives, the way it looks...

It's well worth it!!!!

Im guessing you have tried all the usual money saving websites? My first quote for my new CDTi was £331, fully comp £250 excess total. Swiftcover, who happen to insure my current car.

Im 36, full bonus, no claims or convictions.

Just make up a renewal date and get quotes. They wont change that much, it will give you a good idea of the prices. When it is due do a proper quote. I get quotes all the time, just for the sake of interest really.
