Default Advice on buying front and rear disks and pads

Hi

This post maybe for JDC, I'm not sure.

I have just been on the phone to Lates as he said I will be needing disks and pads front and rear this year (he did my service and MOT last yr). Anyhow He asked me to check the correct type etc.

I've had a look this morning and the rear disks are the solid type with the front being vented. Do these below look like those for my 2002 75 Diesel?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ROVER-75-FRONT...742.m153.l1262

and

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ROVER-75-REAR-...742.m153.l1262

I also understand I will need front and rear wear indicators (from the same ebay seller) but no ABS.

Can someone clarify I'm getting the right things.....?

cheers
Alan

Yes they are the correct front discs and pads for your car, as are the wear indicators

SDB000870 Disc rear-solid brake drum in - pair

However, if you want a seller you know you can trust and is cheaper then look at these:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GENUINE-ROVER-...QQcmdZViewItem

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GENUINE-ROVER-...742.m153.l1262

ecp car parts is well known on here, gives good deals and and is entirely reliable.

A better deal from ecp imo! But both prices are good deals.

Hi Mike

Not sure these are the same. States from 03/99. Mine's 02. But are cheaper especially postage

Agree with Mike I had Lates fit both front and rear disks and pads to my CDT about 18 months ago and I got them from EPC, funnily the price is the same as I paid - your looking at over £300 from a dealer for these parts.

Could save a few quid with these -

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GENUINE-ROVER-...742.m153.l1262

and

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GENUINE-ROVER-...742.m153.l1262

HAve used the seller myself for brakes - prompt delivery and genuine parts.
