Default Diesel prices

I went to fill the car up this morning at the BP round the corner from where I live, especially as his price had dropped to 134.9p per litre.

Too big a queue, didn't have the time so drove on.

Just as well

A short time later, I was driving back along the Cannock Road having just picked up the latest EPC and the Somerfield / BP was selling diesel at 125.9p per litre

9p per litre saved - 55 litres to fill the tank - I was a happy bunny

I've never used that forecourt before...but I will in future.

Local Shell near me selling at 123.9p - down about 8p a litre since a few weeks ago - that's more like it.

The diesel has started to fall here in Ireland also. I can now get it for about €1.33 per litre, down from €1.45 a few weeks ago.

Petrol is still about 10 cents per litre cheaper. I wonder if diesel will ever fall back again to parity.

As you will notice from my Posts above the difference has slipped to 9p per litre when only a couple of weeks ago it was nearer 20p per litre difference,
hope it keeps coming down or matching Petrol again.
Then I will be even more in.

There was never that much of a difference over here - usually about 10 Cents/8p. Probably because of different excise rates.
