White smoke
I started my 75 CTD this morning and after about a min or so i had a cloud of white smoke from under the engine this has happened about 4 times so far. Anyone any ideas

Are you sure it isn't steam? Could be condensation maybe?

Had a bit of a problem with mine today, (turned out to be the starter motor jammed, had to rock the car to free it) and when it started, I'd got the bonnet up, and left it running for a few minutes, then switched off.
Lots of white smoke (steam?) from the Webasto heater, not from the metal exhaust, but the fattish pipe running across just in front. Is this normal? |
