Roving Abroad?
Does anyone fancy an organised trip abroad in 2012? Plenty of time to organise a club trip to Europe, nothing fantastic (France, Holland, Belgium etc). Doing a Conga with 75's and Zt's round the Arch de Triomphe would really be something Lots of time to plan, perhaps taking in a specific event (Le Man, Grand Prix, Motor Show etc). We have the cars for a trip to Europe, how about the enthusiasm. Come on Guys and Gals, comments please, sensible or otherwise.

Roving Abroad ?
I have never been abroad before, well except a mini cruise to Holland many years ago, but i like the idea of this, very interested.

What a great idea. I took mine to Le Mans twice and also had a week touring in Germany, Luxembourg and Belgium. Oh, not to mention family camping in France and a cottage there another year.
If I still had my 75 I would be voting for Le Mans. If you do go there, watch out for the Rozzers. They line the E402 between Rouen and Le Mans and wait behind bushes to zap the speeders. On the way back the bridges on the E402 are full of people waving Union Jacks and St Georges flags as you drive home. All good fun.

Well, we go to Hungary every year - did it in the CDT last year, and in a KV6 Tourer a few years ago.
So if you need any pointers or advice, give me a shout. I'd thoroughly recommend heading for the Auto & Technik Museums at Speyer and Sinsheim in SW Germany. Easy to get to (via Luxembourg for cheap peterol and fags) and a great day out to be had at each! Angus |
